Book suggestion for a first time accounting student.?

I am taking a online business cl called Accounting Fundamentals. The course covers basic book keeping topics such as the general ledger, general journal, accounts payable journal, accounts receivable, balance sheet and trial balance. The cl is approaching it's final exam and it's been fun. But I would like to further my skills and also home in on more accounting. Perhaps some one in the Yahoo community could suggest a structured book and author for a first time accounting student like me. Thanks.
