Kissing kids on the lips?

I love my daughter and in my home we peck on the lips, well she has a little friend (who for the record I can not stand) and the other day she saw me kiss my daughter on the lips and let out an "EWWW Gross". I asked her what was wrong and she said that it is wrong to kiss on the lips because it spreads germs (which I now know where my daughter got her fear of germs from, that is another story her cousin took a sip from a cup and she did not want it because she said it had germs I corrected that situation) Then the little girl told me that her family only kisses on the cheek and she gets a kiss on the nose for special occasions! I kinda feel bad for her, I know that my daughter and I share a bond she does not have with her parents. I am all for kissing my daughter on the lips I just want to know what other parents think. Oh keep in mind you get more germs from shaking hands than a peck on the lips!
