Child behavior..... some advised?

i actually just went through this last night with my daughter (16 months). i wouldnt let her do something she wanted to do (flip the light on and off) and she went bullistic. my nanny was there adn told me to hold her til she calms down and she didnt calm down for a long time. usually i do what the others are saying. put her in her crib (a safe place) and let her have it out there until she calms down. i think that is a better way bc they she will know she will not get the attention for these tantrums. good luck. you are not alone!
