I screwed up...What can i do now?

So theres this girl in my art cl. She's very nice and is pretty. She seems like a quiet type of person, but anyway we were interested in a few of the same things so we sometimes talked. I couldn't really talk to her that much because art is the only cl we have together. Anyway after about a month I told a few close friends that I liked her. Of course one of my friends couldn't keep his mouth shut and told a bunch of HIS friends after i specifically told him not to.His friends are 8th graders (We're in 6th grade) and they started to dare eachother to ask her out for me. I begged them not to, but they said that I needed to ask her out right then or they would do it for me and make me look like a coward. I walked away from that and they eventually started talking and later after art she came up to me and seemed sad and a little creeped out. She said "One of your friends said that you wanted to go out with me... And he called me an emo! Tell your friend that he's a jerk!" and she ran off. She didn't really seem mad at me she just seemed mad at the fact that "my friend" (the 8th graders) told her all that crap. She's not actually emo she just likes heavy metal and the color black...Which I'm sure is still not emo. Either way after a week or so my friend told me I needed to make my move (the same friend that told the the 8th graders about the girl) or I would go into the "friend zone" as he called it. He kept on trying to push me into her and eventually he got me into this weird position where it was impossible to avoid it because he already engaged. "Hey, whats up?" I asked. "Not much..." she replied. Then we kept on saying "Yeah..." like 5 times until she got this face that said "WTF?!?" so then i said "So do you want to maybe do something on Friday?" I asked. "Friday?" she repeated. Then on of the lunch ladies yelled at me to sit down. About five minutes later at recess she came over and said that "her parents wouldn't let her" which me and the eight graders concluded was a load of bullcrap and we decided it was a lie. So for these past two months nothing has been happening. I guess I can't really blame her. I'm kind of a loud person when I'm around people I know and people call me annoying. I'm a pretty skinny person (You can see my ribs through my skin if i take off my shirt) and seem a bit nerdy (Which I guess I am). We don't talk to eachother or say hi anymore. Is there anything I can do now?
