I am currently in law school, and have been interested in jurisprudencial issues for a while. I am decidedly originalist, but I want to try to get a better understanding of other theories. I tried to read Justice Brennen's "Active Liberty," but I found his writing style increadably grating and couldn't properly focus on the ideas he was expounding. Any ideas on what I should read?

This is complicated... I really like this girl, and we have been good freinds for a year and a half. about 5 months ago we started going out, however it ended in about a month. How can I correct my pitch problem?

I am very weird I think. When I am warming up and singing only vowels I am almost never flat or sharp but when I add consonants I have problems. I would say I am flat 20% of the time when I am singing real words. I'm not sure why. My teacher says it is because I am concentrating to hard on the consonants and not the vowels. I get so confused. Questions about the Nintendo DS Action Replay.?

I have an action replay, and I love using it to play Pokemon pearl. So far, I have only had a problem once, and I just shut off my DS. I have heard that if you save the game, when you encounter an error with the codes, you are in big trouble, so I just shut mine off the one time I had problems. You can use the AR to catch EVERY pokemon, including the event pokemons that haven't even been released yet. It is awesome. Mine came with a USB cord, and a disk, for the computer. I get free codes from supercheats. I have never heard anything about a subscription. I am finding all the cheats I want online, and not paying for them. I don't think you are going to save much money buying on Amazon, but it probably doesn't matter too much where you get your AR. I am so glad I bought mine.

8 month old not sleeping through the night anymore!!?

My son is 8 months old. He was sleeping through the night just fine and within the last 2 1/2 months he stopped!! He wakes up about 2-3 times a night usually and sometimes giving him his pacifier will put him back to sleep but sometimes it doesn't work!! If I put him in his swing he will go back to sleep but if he lays in his bed he will just cry. I am American Expat in Romania...I would not bother to ship your car or your electronics. It will cost you almost as much in adapters as new appliances themselves. I would also go ahead and sell your car and buy a new one. Thats what we did. I would honestly due to shipping costs pay for an extra suitcase or 2 and bring your most treasured stuff and not worry about nick-knacks and such you can buy most everything you need there. PLus it will also give you a chance to collect some neat things from your area. Do you have friends there? I would begin to look very soon for an English Church, an American School, and expat community, and language lessons. These are things we have done and have given us an opportunity to meet locals who speak English and other expats. All who have been helpful in helping us with language and simple things that we have struggled with. I would suggest if at all possible locating someone who speaks both languages if at all possible someone western who is there already and communicate with them via skype, myspace or yahoo messenger if possible they can help you with things like how to get around your new town, taking a taxi or bus, shopping, getting medicines....ect....I would see if it is possible to have someone go grocery shopping with you the first few times. grocery shopping can be very stressful and can even end in tears just trying to find out which one is baking powder adn which one is soda...Also find out if the flour is self-rising, there is no such thing here in Romania and it took some time before we discovered this and were able to locate yeast. Also since I suspect there are some similaraties there as here...A fanny farmer cookbook can be a lifesavor..because a lot of things we use to cook with a home or either not available to so expensive here we cannot afford them. I would also find out about English books there. It is harder to find them most bookstores only carry the clics and maybe the new Harry Potter but not much else. I would check Amazon UK and see if they ship to your area, they do not ship here but if they did it would make things so much better for us. There is a lot we cannot get here and I would like to get...So check that out it....I am not sure what else to say except learn some useful phrases Before you know it language program is free and online...We loved it and even our 6 year old was able to learn some basic Romanian. Also go to Virtual Tourist and join them. I am a member there and it was a big help...Good Luck I hope I have helped some. Problem with 2002 Explorer brake light?

The brake light on my truck illuminates periodically. The brake fluid is OK, and I don't notice any noises from the brakes or problems stopping. It only comes on AFTER I start to accelerate from a stop, not actually while stopped or stopping. I notice it mostly in very cold weather (<20 degrees). Any ideas?

Metabolism destroyed after anorexia?

Last year I suffered from anorexia for about six months. I got down to a dangerous 91 pounds(I was 32 at the time and I'm 5'3"). I finished my hospitalization last July, but I've noticed that I've steadily put on weight since then. I'm currently at 115, which is considered 100 percent of my ideal body weight. The problem is that I don't want to keep gaining to where I'm too heavy. I left the hospital at 100 pounds last July and now I've gained 15 pounds and I'm not sure why. I stopped eating breakfast to cut back and only eat dinner and supper and what I do eat is in small portions and not fatttening at all. I've started walking more, but the weight gain keeps happening in spite of trying to get more exercise in. Is it possible I destroyed my metabolism and that body wants to hold on to whatever I eat and turn it into fat because it's afraid of starving itself again?

He gave my gf a sobriety test, and she ped because she didn't have anything to drink, and then gave me a breathalyzer and of course I failed. Is there any way I can fight this in court? I have severe acne! So i switched to Proactiv. I used the refining mask and it clears my face up immediately, its amazing.. I formed a LLC and I don't understand why when filing my taxes my tax person still prepares the return just like a personal filing. I love my daughter and in my home we peck on the lips, well she has a little friend (who for the record I can not stand) and the other day she saw me kiss my daughter on the lips and let out an "EWWW Gross". What the Marine Recruiter is talking about is the Army was suppose to write a official letter discharging from the branch. If you did go to basic training during the Split Op, you were partially in the Military upon graduation. The Army is the only branch that has the Split Op bs. I will tell you the Army is a little disappointed that they started your training and you backed out. You will be fine. Dont worry yourself about the discharge, it is just a formality. The Marines will be a Experience you never forget from Day 1 of boot camp. Trust me. Its been 22yrs and i remember Day 1 like it was yesterday.

Trust me it does get annoying a lot. My best advice would probably just play CoD4 if you have it. seems to be the best and most balanced but at the same time the most fun. MW2 was rushed by Activision and Infinity Ward couldnt fix all the bugs and problems and then the IW CEO's left and IW just got the funding withing the past 3 months to put out that hacker patch because Activision cut them off. Just wait for MW3 to come out. Should be a lot better. Until then, try CoD4 and BFBC2. Better 2 FPS games out there. Or, you could buy Killzone 3 and Homefront. Both games ive heard are really good.

Thanks for spitting on me at the Norfolk airport in Virginia. I spent 5 months at New Almuthana Iraqi Air Base just west of Baghdad and was looking forward to coming home. I screwed up...What can i do now?

So theres this girl in my art cl. She's very nice and is pretty. She seems like a quiet type of person, but anyway we were interested in a few of the same things so we sometimes talked. She didn't really seem mad at me she just seemed mad at the fact that "my friend" (the 8th graders) told her all that crap. She's not actually emo she just likes heavy metal and the color black...Which I'm sure is still not emo. Either way after a week or so my friend told me I needed to make my move (the same friend that told the the 8th graders about the girl) or I would go into the "friend zone" as he called it. He kept on trying to push me into her and eventually he got me into this weird position where it was impossible to avoid it because he already engaged. "Hey, whats up?" I asked. "Not much..." she replied. Then we kept on saying "Yeah..." like 5 times until she got this face that said "WTF?!?" so then i said "So do you want to maybe do something on Friday?" I asked. "Friday?" she repeated. Then on of the lunch ladies yelled at me to sit down. About five minutes later at recess she came over and said that "her parents wouldn't let her" which me and the eight graders concluded was a load of bullcrap and we decided it was a lie. So for these past two months nothing has been happening. I guess I can't really blame her. I'm kind of a loud person when I'm around people I know and people call me annoying. I'm a pretty skinny person (You can see my ribs through my skin if i take off my shirt) and seem a bit nerdy (Which I guess I am). We don't talk to eachother or say hi anymore. Is there anything I can do now?

Madden 10 Madden Test Rediculous, and makes games VERY EASY?

I don't really understand the madden test in Madden 10. It is much different from the previous version. It is IMPOSSIBLE to complete a p for the first part, then they just make you try and sack the QB for the rest of the time when on defense. This makes my Madden IQ VERY low (in the 300's) which makes games extremely easy in my franchise. I am the Texans and I average like 3 TD's with Slaton and 2 with Andre, and that is with Orlovsky (300+ypg, 158.3 per rating almost every game) as Schaub is injured. I don't want to put it in a pro/ all pro setting. Last year it was quite difficult when I played with my Madden IQ (Which used to be in the 500's). What gives?

i actually just went through this last night with my daughter (16 months). i wouldnt let her do something she wanted to do (flip the light on and off) and she went bullistic. my nanny was there adn told me to hold her til she calms down and she didnt calm down for a long time. usually i do what the others are saying. put her in her crib (a safe place) and let her have it out there until she calms down. i think that is a better way bc they she will know she will not get the attention for these tantrums. good luck. you are not alone!

ok so here's the thing my boyfriend/father of my 3 year old daughter's parents are horrible.(background info) They made my boyfriend drop out of school at 16 so he could work and pay their whole full rent.(Today) well ever since we've had our daughter they have never once came and seen her, not once. I know that those are his parents but i feel like if they cared then they would once in a while call their son or granddaughter just to say hi. Or once go to their house.
